Screamie Awards 2009


Voting for 2008 was fierce and very soon a number of attractions were in the running. A final push over the week of Halloween settled the outcomes and our first winners were finalised!

The first awards were presented in 2009 at the annual ScareCON event. Short listed attractions and nominees all gathered in the Atrium Bar to anxiously await the results.

Outstanding Contribution to the Haunt Industry

WINNER Thorpe Park Fright Nights

Voted for by the staff of the Haunted Attractions UK, this special award was given in recognition of the dedication and support that Thorpe Park has showed to the scare industry. From their small start in 2002 with just two mazes, the park has continually striven to update and renew their Halloween content by adding new mazes, new attractions and different shows.
